Jeff Creech: Modified Cover Editing

Just simply amazing editing work

Jeff Creech: Modified Cover Editing

Jeff Creech just posted recent work he did for a cover of Modified Magazine.  The cover features Rig shot with 3 cars that has been photoshoped into the pic.  The edit contains pieces from over 8 images, many of the pictures were of the cars sitting still so there was a lot of airbrushing needed to eliminate reflections and create the illusion of motion.  Jeff Creech has even put together a animated image to showcase the whole process. Click after the break to watch his amazing work in action.

Sean Klingelhoefer: Post Processing Toyota Yaris

adding spice through photoshop

Sean Klingelhoefer: Post Processing Toyota Yaris

I have been following Sean Klingelhoefer blog lately and have been very impressed by some of the photoshop work he does.  It's amazing how much work goes into post processing, and the results are just stunning.  Sean Klingelhoefer shot this pic of a Toyota Yaris, and was not too happy with the outcome so he turned to photoshop to get the pic he wanted.  He even added some spice to it by changing out the wall color..  Which one do you like the best?  Check out his post for complete info on the process.

Sean Klingelhoefer: Honda Civic

Inspired by the Judgement day

Sean Klingelhoefer: Honda Civic

Sean Klingelhoefer recently was inspired by a scene in the Movie Judgement day, which featured an explosion scene that had the color toning that you see in his pics.  He got out there and shot this sweet Civic and with some Photoshop magic, you have some post nuclear fallout pics!  More from the photoshoot after the break.

Sean Klingelhoefer: JDM R35 GTR Composite photo

Sweet photo edit

Sean Klingelhoefer: JDM R35 GTR Composite photo

Sean Klingelhoefer posted this sweet photo of this Greddy GTR R35 on dieselstation, after clicking through to his blog I learned that this was a composite of 2 photos.  The car was shot by Wes Allison and Sean took the background.  Through a little photoshop magic he was able to transform the 2 image into one sweet photo that will be used for the Super Street Calendar.  More photos after the break, and if your interested check out his blog for the full edit process steps

DMfoto.nu: Nissan GT-R R35

Sweet GTR photoshoot

DMfoto.nu: Nissan GT-R R35

DMfoto.nu got an opportunity to shoot a brand new Nissan GT-R 2009.  Actually the first one delivered by Nissan to the Swedish market (not counting democar and imports).  I must say the shoot like it belongs in a Nissan brochure.  Posters are available through his site at dmfot.nu, for more pics from this shoot click to view after the break.

Bonus:  Behind the scene's photoshop editing of one of the photo.

Sneak Preview: How to Digitally Photograph Cars

We received an advance copy of How to Digitally Photograph Cars by Jason Siu and Josh Mackey

Sneak Preview: How to Digitally Photograph Cars

About nine months ago, Josh Mackey and myself came up with the idea to author a book focusing strictly on how to digitally photograph cars.  With how photography has changed over the years and the amount of people that are now interested in it, especially automotive photography, we felt that this was a great time to share a lot of the knowledge and experience we've gained over the years.  The biggest advantages we felt that this book had is the fact that neither Josh or myself came from a photography-educated background.  Both of us learned how to shoot cars out of interest and were able to turn it into a career.  We just received our advance copies of the book which is now available for pre-order on websites such as Amazon.com.  I decided to take several photos highlighting each chapter in the book in hopes of garnering your interest to pre-order a copy.  We would greatly appreciate the support and the more initial sales we get, the more willing the brick-and-mortar stores are willing to carry it.  It'll be sampled at about 50 Barnes & Nobles initially and we would really like to see that number go up.  So if you have any interest what so ever in digitally photographing cars, head on out and pre-order a copy today please!  More previews of the book and description after the jump.
