Coolest Drift Photo Ever?

I was browsing Formula D's blog today and scrolled across this photo.  This past weekend in the heat of Las Vegas, Ryan Tuerck's Solstice caught major air while tandem'ing it out in competition.  Check out their blog for more submissions of the crazy action.  After all the drift events I have ever attended, I regret not being there to capture something like that!

AEM / Rockstar 350Z Spotted in Europe

We spotted photos of Tanner Foust's former AEM / Rockstar Energy Drink 350Z being tested out in Europe.  This car was a two-time champion in the Formula DRIFT series and it's good to see it has not been entirely retired.  It's overseas in Europe currently, but it would be pretty surreal to see it back on the Stateside potentially competing against Foust's new Scion tC.  At least the car is sporting a new look.  One more photo after the jump.

TunerIcons / Import Intelligence 350Z on Fire?!

Fresh off its Formula D Long Beach debut, the TunerIcons / Import Intelligence 350Z headed out to the Club Loose Weekend Killer event.  Dan Jenkins shot the event for www.tunerzine.com and as we were sorting through the coverage we ran across these photos of the Z.  It looks like some sort of mishap occurred estting it somewhat ablaze.  The damage seems contained however as the car was right back out tearing up the track sideways shortly after.  Few more photos after the jump.

Justin Pawlak's RX-8

There was much anticipation in the debut of the new Bergenholtz Racing RX-8 piloted by Justin Pawlak, but as we all know, Pawlak's back in his FD RX-7 for the Long Beach season opener.  But on display in the Cooper Tires booth was the blue RX-8 sporting Five Axis wheels.  Rumor has it that the Bergenholtz Brothers came up with something new to revolutionize drifting - the only thing we could spot was the unique setup of the wing.  We're not quite sure if this is what everyone is alluding to, but we plan on giving Ron a call soon to catch up with him and the car.  For now enjoy the photos after the jump.
