Insane Rotary Powered BMW Drag Car

Ok this drag car is just insane before you laugh at he chrome and gold, and tv's inside the car, this thing actually performs and lays down some pretty good times on the track.  The car is said to be sporting a quad rotary setup and producing over 1664hp, and quarter mile in less than 7 sec.  Check out some video's of this beast after the break showing off at the show and doing some testing at the track.

Titan Supra still the Quickest Street Import!

Three months ago the owners of Titan Motorsports, Nero and Bottle Deliwala, had been challenged to make a showing at the NSCRA event at Palm Beach International Raceway.  With the challenge committed, the race organization in tune, things were looking good, and Titan was on track to achieving their goal to beat their previous 7.71 record.  On their third run the car ran an incredible 7.66@188.44mph!  Challenge accepted, statement made!  Congrats to the guys over at Titan Motorsports!

Titan Prep Continues for NSCRA final

Titan announced last month that they will be making an appearance at the NSCRA final race Dec 6 at the Palm Beach International Raceway.  The titan Supra is currently undergoing a complete update from its 5yr old technology to today's standard.  All the new wiring is going into the car, plus a new race head is going on very soon.  Cant wait to see what the titan guys will be able to pull off at the race!

Titan Motorsport to set New Record

Titan Motorsports will be making an appearance on December 6th at the NSCRA Final at Palm Beach International Raceway.  For those who don't know the history of this Toyota Supra driven by seasoned ADRL driver Gary White,  it has held many import records and even after its retirement, it currently is the quickest street import to ever hit a drag strip with an ET of 7.71.  During the next coming weeks Titan is diligently working on the car to update its setup from 5 year old technology to today's standards, to be able to offer the people of South Florida a piece of history when we break our previous record in front of the crowd, crew chief Brett White had this to say this morning when he uncovered the car "we are going to throw everything we have at it, and that's all there is it to it."

Titan Preps IPG Civic for the Sport Compact Fall National

Titan Motorsport has just announced that they will be attending the Sport Compact Fall Nationals this weekend at Englishtown Raceway Park.  John Ferguson will be piloting the IPG Civic ov James Innes.  The car has recently been rebuilt after some testing at the Orlando Speedway showed some unexpected engine wear.  The Engine was fully rebuilt by Titan and will be sporting new super secret engine and turbo modifications.  Should really give the guys in the Outlaw FWD class a good run.

This is what you get when you have a twin 101mm's turbo setup being tested at 6000 rpm rev limit and 15psi of boost in less than 1 second.  Check out the side exhaust shaking like crazy, just doesn't look too safe to me :)  Video after the break.

The Farm Truck LS1 Sleeper

A couple down in Oklahoma City decided to take their Farm Truck and make it into the ultimate sleeper by stuffing in an LS1 engine, some slicks and a cage for safety.  The couple brought it out to a local drag race event and was an immediate crowd favorite.  More pics and video of the sleeper after the break.

TunerZine Project Si - Base Line 1/4 Mile Run

This last weekend marked the start of the 2009 Sport Compact Bracket series at Firebird Raceway in Boise, ID.  We took the project SI out there to see how well it would run with no performance modifications on it yet.  With a steady head wind all day our best time was a 15.10 at 92mph.  With Firebird Raceway being at 3500ft, we will have some work ahead of us with the elevation, but with our partners jumping on board we should start to see some awesome gains and improvements with the SI.  Sadly for us, we took a red light in the opening round of eliminations, but there are more events on the horizon for the SI to climb to the top.  Video available after the jump.

We first posted pics of the Underground Racing Gallardo a while back featuring a sick twin turbo setup.  Underground just posted a video of the car at the track going 9.1 @169 making it the fastest Lamborghini Gallardo that we know of.  Now talk about a real exotic super car!

Battle of the Imports Orlando 2009 – Season Opener

This past weekend was the opening event for the 2009 Battle of the Import season.   The Florida weather played nice and gave BOTI its first rain free event in over five years.  The sun was out and the crowd started to fill up the grand stands.   All the classes had some stiff competition in them from the Pro Import class all the way down to the Sportsman Eliminator bracket class.  CFT was out in full force running two cars in the Pro Import class and a slew of cars in multiple other classes, by far the busiest pit at the event.  Check out the final results and first set of photos after the jump.
