Titan Motorsports Runs 3.996 @ 182.45mph in the 1/8th!

Having worked at Titan Motorsports in the past, I know just how passionate they are at setting records and paving the way towards the future of the sport. I was there for the start of their Street Supra program that turned to dominate any track it went to. From there they progressed to Pro RWD status and now currently tackle the ADRL series against American Muscle with giant motors complemented with equally giant turbos and shots of nitrous. Nonetheless, Titan Motorsports continues to campaign their Scion tC drag car with its feeble 2JZ motor.

They have just became one of the first five cars in the world to hit the 3-second mark on a 10.5 tire and have joined the exclusive Mickey Thompson 3 Second Club. Check out the video after the break of the record-setting pass.

Titan Supra still the Quickest Street Import!

Three months ago the owners of Titan Motorsports, Nero and Bottle Deliwala, had been challenged to make a showing at the NSCRA event at Palm Beach International Raceway.  With the challenge committed, the race organization in tune, things were looking good, and Titan was on track to achieving their goal to beat their previous 7.71 record.  On their third run the car ran an incredible 7.66@188.44mph!  Challenge accepted, statement made!  Congrats to the guys over at Titan Motorsports!

Chris Rado FWD in the 6's?

Rumor has it that Chris Rado has broken the 6-second barrier at Pomona this past weekend in his FWD Scion tC.  Though there is some controversy with the 60-foot time on the slip, making this pass "unofficial", the truth is Rado's tC has been groundbreaking and on the edge of 6's for a while now.  We're extremely excited to be seeing it at the upcoming NSCRA event at Palm Beach International Raceway and hopefully he'll be setting some records there.

Titan Motorsport to set New Record

Titan Motorsports will be making an appearance on December 6th at the NSCRA Final at Palm Beach International Raceway.  For those who don't know the history of this Toyota Supra driven by seasoned ADRL driver Gary White,  it has held many import records and even after its retirement, it currently is the quickest street import to ever hit a drag strip with an ET of 7.71.  During the next coming weeks Titan is diligently working on the car to update its setup from 5 year old technology to today's standards, to be able to offer the people of South Florida a piece of history when we break our previous record in front of the crowd, crew chief Brett White had this to say this morning when he uncovered the car "we are going to throw everything we have at it, and that's all there is it to it."

Recently Titan Motorsports had the privilege to go out to Australia to attend the giant Jamboree.  They made an impressive cameo performance with their Scion tC that hasn't seen track action in quite some time.  But it didn't look like it skipped one beat once it got back out on the track.  Props to Titan Motorsports for continuing to do it big worldwide with their program and putting sport compact drag racing on the map.  Video after the break.

NSCRA: October 4th, 2009

After a couple of years of a real drag racing hiatus, it looks like the NSCRA is poised to bringing sport compact drag racing back to the spotlight.  They just recently announced a partnership with the Fox Sports Network where they will be airing their October 4th 2009 event and their December 5th 2009 event on network television shortly following the event.  It's about damn time if you ask me, having grown up watching drag racing my entire life and seeing drift take over the spotlight entirely.  Now that NOPI and NHRA has bowed out of the game, it's refreshing to see another series step up and do the right thing.  We'll be out there covering the event for sure.  Check out the back of the flyer after the break.

The Farm Truck LS1 Sleeper

A couple down in Oklahoma City decided to take their Farm Truck and make it into the ultimate sleeper by stuffing in an LS1 engine, some slicks and a cage for safety.  The couple brought it out to a local drag race event and was an immediate crowd favorite.  More pics and video of the sleeper after the break.

NSCRA: Wanted Bounty!

To make things fun and exciting, the NSCRA has placed a bounty on all of the winners from Round One's event on May 3rd, 2009. Racers have a chance to win an extra cash prize if they are skillful enough to take out the winner from the previous event. The payout is paid regardless of whether or not the winner wins their respective class. If you race the driver with the bounty placed on them and you take them out in a heads-up round, the bounty is yours! If no one succeeds in taking out the winner and a class winner repeats on July 5th, 2009 - the bounty is all theirs.
