Project SI - Skunk2 Rear Camber Kit Install

Once more goodie from Skunk2 for this upcoming racing season!

Project SI - Skunk2 Rear Camber Kit Install

With the racing season for our Project SI just under 2 weeks away its time we start getting the car ready.  This last week Skunk2 announced the release of the new Rear Camber Kit for the 2006+ Honda Civic SI, lucky for us we managed to get our hands on one.   Let me just start by saying this part is amazing, the quality is off the charts and gold color never hurts.  Now like we mentioned in the last update on the Skunk2 Rear Camber Kit, this new kit will allow you to adjust the camber on the rear without have to remove the part.

More details on the Install after the jump.

Skunk2 '06+ Civic Rear Camber Kit

We can't wait to run this new kit on the Project SI

Skunk2 '06+ Civic Rear Camber Kit

Today Skunk2 announced the launch of their newly designed Rear Camber kit for the '06 Honda Civic.    With new advancments in the design you no longer will you have to disconnect the arm from the chassis of the car.   Now you can adjust the rear camber by simply loosening the jam nuts and adjust to your fitting.

Skunk2 was kind enough to send us this kit so that we can fine tune the suspension for our upcoming season, starting March 14th.   Be sure to stay with Speedmotiv for updates this year on the progress of the project Si.

What were they thinking... Civic

Speechless..

What were they thinking... Civic

Ok not sure what to think of this but atleast the photography is nice...  This car, used to be a 2008 Honda Civic Sedan and has been converted into this not so nice car.  It features headlights from a Maserati and tailights and side mirrors from a Ferrari.  A lot of money has been poured into this car, but atleast they could have made it nice...  what do you guys think.

Civic on Flush BBS RS Wheels

nice fitment

Civic on Flush BBS RS Wheels

More and more these days, im seeing Honda rolling on perfect offsets.  This Civic caught my attention with a sweet set of deep dish BBS RS finished with black centers and gold bolts.  The ride height is just perfect, making for a sweet ride to roll around town in.  More pics after the break.

Offset Crazy Civic

What is going on here?

Offset Crazy Civic

Ok, I love the flush and cambered look but there is a point when you have to say that is enough..  Found this Civic testing out their camber fitment, and this is a perfect example of taking it over the extreme.  I dunno but it looks like something broke in the suspension.

What Was He Thinking

Poor Civic

What Was He Thinking

Ok, really what was he thinking when he did this to the wheels?  The car could have been cool if the wheels were done all in one lip color and minus all those horrible decals.  I guess everyone is trying to out do one another, but this one definitely takes the trophy - for being really ugly...  and how safe is it riding around without a hood?  More pics after the break if your stomach can handle it.

Skunk2 Racing: '06+ Civic SI Composite Fuel Rail

Skunk2 reintroduces its K-Series Composite Fuel Rail—now with applications for the ’06+ Civic Si.

Skunk2 Racing: '06+ Civic SI Composite Fuel Rail

Skunk2’s cutting-edge Composite Fuel Rail for Honda’s K-series engines—including the ’06+ Civic Si— is here. Skunk2’s Composite Fuel Rails are made using a proprietary carbon-impregnated, aerospace thermo-polymer composite—a material that’s 33-percent lighter, 60-percent stronger, and operates up to 100-degrees F cooler when compared to aluminum and insulates fuel from both radiant and conductive heat transfer underneath the hood, resulting in increased horsepower and torque. Composite Fuel Rails also feature large 0.625-inch internal bores for superior fuel injector pulsation dampening, are machined with a smooth interior finish, and feature radius-cut fuel injector outlets for improved flow characteristics. The special design that eliminates the sharp internal angles where the main bore meets the fuel injector bores inherent with conventional extruded- and drilled-aluminum designs can only be achieved with such composite materials. Skunk2’s K-series Composite Fuel Rails are compatible with the factory fuel system and can support up to 1,200 hp, with gains as high as three percent realized during testing.

Skunk2 Pro Series Composite Fuel Rails for K-series engines are available now and start at $199.99.

FEATURES:
Up To 3% Gain
Supports Up To 1,200 HP
0.625” Internal Bore
-8 AN Inlet and Outlet
Compatible With Factory Fuel System
Chemical-Resistant To All Fuels, Including Alcohol
'06+ Civic-Compatible Kit Available
Retail Price: From $199.99

Gold EK with EL Front End

Definitely one of the cleanest and most unique EKs I've seen

Gold EK with EL Front End

I'll be the first to admit that it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to building Hondas and Acuras.  Not so much that I've built a couple myself, but more so that over the last 10 years it seems like I've seen anything and everything that can possibly be done to a Honda and/or Acura.  I was browsing through random Flickr accounts and ran across this shoot by KevBurgler that really caught my eye.  The shoot itself is fantastic, the lighting is great and so is the composition.  But it was the car that raised my eyebrows.  From the rear it looks like your typical clean EK, but the front sports the Canadian EL front end that I have always been an odd fan of.  Combine that with the aggressive fitment of CCW's wheels and this EK is very refreshing to see.  More photos after the jump.

Mugen Civic Type R Hatchback

Will this bring back the former glory of the Type-R to Europe?

Mugen Civic Type R Hatchback

The current European Honda Civic Type-R has not shared the same kind of success that the previous Civic Type-R had. In fact, many suggest that the car itself has gone soft and lacks the true spirit of what the Type-R once stood for. That may all change soon thanks to Japanese tuner, Mugen.

Here are some of the first pics of Mugen's upcoming modifications for the European spec Civic Type-R. Not much is known about it right now but initial specs suggest upgraded suspension and 18-inch wheels, giant front splitter and rear wing, huge exhaust, and a power plant putting out 237 bhp and 160 lb-ft.

More pictures after the jump.
