Honda S2000: Carbon Fiber Wrap

It seems the matte black craze is slowly subsiding, or perhaps it's just evolving.  Originally many opted to just wrap their cars in matte black vinyl, then some stepped up by painting their entire car that way.  There seems to be a new big player on the block however, as this S2000 owner opted to have parts of his car wrapped with carbon fiber vinyl.  Rumor on the street is that this track car will get a full treatment, but here's some work in progress photos.

Password JDM Nissan GT-R Dry Carbon Wide Front Fenders

Password:JDM has just released their new widebody front fender made out of 100% dry carbon fiber for your Nissan GT-R. These kevlar reinforced dry carbon fenders took 200+ days of development. From a spark of an idea, to painstaking clay modelling to final product.

The main goal was to lighten the front end and assist in eliminating understeerand have the capability to fit 20×11 inch wheels in the front.   The front has been widened by a full 38mm wider at the front without changing the lines of the car. Fender vents were also widened to help get air out of the wheel well area and the front side markers are replaced with carbon inserts. The whole fender is also signicantly lighter that stock.

Price is $3899.99

Spotted BMW 1 Series Supersport

A BMW 1 Series test car was spotted in Garching Germany where the M Division is located.  Looks like BMW is testing a new stronger 1 series, rumored to be the 1 Series Supersport which is similair to the BMW M3 CSL.

The CSL like car most likely not badged CSL (possibly Csi or tii).  The performance and lightweight components on this car will not be options on "regular" models and will not be based on BMW Performance accessories.  Testing currently is a CF roof, hood, and trunk- Special lightweight (BBS) wheels, new highly bolstered seats and Light Weight glass. Engine is still TBA and in testing.

Porsche Carrera GT with Carbon HRE Wheels

This is probably the first aftermarket set of wheels I have seen on a CGT, and im still a bit on the fence if I am really digging this look or not.  Wheel Boutique just recently equipped this Carrera GT with a set of the just release CF40 Carbon Fiber Wheels from HRE.  The new wheels feature HRE's forded aluminum centers matted with Dymag carbon fiber rim technology.  Check after the break for more pics.

Yes you read that right kids, $20k for a pair of seats, can we way baller!  Your looking at the special edition seats from Recaro called the ASM x Recaro SP-X CL100.  It's one of those gotta have limited edition JDM seats that you just can't pass up on.  The seats are made of dry carbon and finished in a combination of leather and Alcantara.  Now can you really justify paying close to $20k for a pair of seat?  I mean you can buy a brand new car for that price..  For more pics, check after the break.  Click on source link for those interested in a pair.

I was browsing the web last night and came across this Audi R8 by PPI Called the Razor GTR.  It's one of those cars that just makes you go wow and take notice.   PPI did an amazing job on the car, they have completely changed the car with a full carbon fiber body.  In it's process shaving about 550lbs from the stock configuration.  This is how the R8 should have looked from the factory!

HRE CF40 Carbon Fiber Wheels

Vivid Racing just posted up these wheels they just received from HRE.  The wheels are HRE's new line of carbon wheels, which features Inner is CNC forge aluminum and outer is carbon barrel made by Dymag for HRE.  Wheels are 19x8.5 and 19x12 and weigh in at just a tad over 20lb's, not too bad!  More pics after the break.

Weds Sport out of Japan has released a first - full carbon fiber wheel.  The wheels were unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon show, and can be had for a cool $10,000-$12,000.  Yes I know it's a bit expensive but it does weigh only 6.08 lbs.  Now that's light!

As if having the ultimate car is not enough, the tuners Mansory has taken the Bugatti to the next  level.  The exotic auto tuner boosted the car's power to 1,109 hp, and the exterior is features Cabon fiber fenders, doors and front and rear fiber panels. On the inside there's two-tone black and white leather, ambient cabin lighting and custom F1-style shift paddles on the steering wheel.  You can pick one up btw if you have a cool 2.5 mil laying around.  More pics after the break.

Earlier this week I installed my Carbon Vents from Motor Lux, which already added a nice touch to the project Cayman.  I had the time to install their Carbon fiber roof wing also, and have to say, I am very happy with the outcome, really ads a nice subtle touch to the rear of the car.  I am still awaiting on their release of their carbon side skirts, and I think that should complete all the Carbon on the car, well atleast the exterior :)  More pics after the break.

Motor Lux Carbon Side Vents

Received my new Carbon Fiber side vents from Motor Lux today for the Speedmotiv Cayman Project.  I opted for the 4x4 twill matte finish again to match all the other carbon parts on the car.  Motor Lux does offer in other finish as well.   Overall I am extremely happy with the fit and finish, install was pretty quick and painless.  Let me know what you guys think!  more pics after the break.
