Coachbuilt Aston Martin Wanna Be Has $9.6 Million Price Tag

We've been treated with a lot of supercars and exotics in our lifetimes, but this one might just take the cake. Star Electric Cars in France will be producing eight of these custom-made Super Sport vehicles that take styling cues from the Aston Martin. It won't be an Aston Martin however, with a carbon fiber body and anywhere from 800 to 950 hp from the 5.4L twin-turbo V8. We're just blown away at the $9.6 million dollar price tag and with only eight being built, we're guessing we'll never get to see one in person.

World's Most Expensive and Fastest Supercars

I had the privilege of visiting O'Gara Coach Company today where they had a Supercar Showcase.  If a photo is worth a thousand words, then what's a photo worth when there's millions of dollars of vehicles in just one picture?  On hand at the event was the founder and sales director of Koenigsegg (along with a CCX), Horacio Pagani - the founder of Pagani (along with a Zonda R), the sales & marketing manager for Pagani, Sales Director for Bugatti USA and Wolfgang Hoffmann, COO of Lamborghini North America.

We were able to witness the presence of several Bugatti Veyrons, a Lamborghini Reventon, Koenigsegg CCX and Pagani's Zonda R all in one showroom.  Outside were a fleet of Aston Martins, Rolls-Royces and Lamborghinis.  Check out the photos after the jump, and we'll have full coverage from the event on Tunerzine.com soon.

Aston Martin Rapide to Race Nurburgring

Aston Martin views racing its latest production cars at Germany's famed Nurburgring as a rite of passage of sorts, so we’re not entirely surprised to hear the automaker will enter its new Aston Martin Rapide sedan in the 24-hour endurance race scheduled for May 15.

“This race represents the ultimate final engineering durability test for any sports car,” said Aston Martin's CEO, Ulrich Bez. “The Rapide has the capability to carry four people in comfort, but first and foremost it is a sports car, and we will subject it to the same tests we would our other sports cars.”

Celebrating the enormous success of the DBS and V12 Vantage which have surpassed all sales expectations since launch, the new special editions add a typically understated flair to these acclaimed models. Featuring bespoke Carbon Black metallic paint especially formulated with a subtle metallic twist to create a deep rich patina. Each car will undergo 50 man-hours of hand painting followed by stringent quality checks. For the V12 Vantage the iconic Aston Martin side strake has been fashioned from real carbon fibre backed by a black mesh and complimented with gloss black 10 spoke diamond turned alloy wheels. A bright finished grille and front parking sensors (normally an option) complete the exterior detailing.

MWDesign ups the ante on the already beautiful Aston Martin V8 Vantage with a well thought out aerodynamic and performance upgrade package.

Appropriately named Helvellyn Frost, this frozen matte white ...Aston takes its name from a mountain range in England. This mountain epitomizes romance and beauty with a dash of treachery just as this V8 Vantage does.

The Aston Vantage is undoubtedly a stunningly beautiful car straight from the factory. To enhance her looks without becoming ostentatious, every curve had to be considered. It is a very easy process to add aftermarket parts to these cars, but also very easy to disturb the balance of beauty, proportion and classiness.

Aston Martin Elite LMV R

Final concept images have just been released for the 2010 Aston Martin LMV/R (Le Mans Vantage Racer). Only 30 of these race cars for the street will be produced for the world. Following in the footsteps of the Ferrari Scuderia and Stradale and Lamborghini Superleggera, the Elite LMV/R is lighter than the factory Vantage due to most of the body panels being made from carbon fiber. The Scuderia, Stradale and Superleggera were built for the purists who wanted a race car for the street, a more nimble version of the production street car that they were built from. These cars aren’t for everybody due to their harsher ride and loud exhaust systems. This is the company that the LMV/R will now be amongst but even more rare and special. The Superleggera’s US production was 172 cars, the Ferrari Stradale seen 1,288 examples built and the Scuderia production is supposed to top out at about 1,500 cars. Compare these production numbers to the 30 LMV/R’s that will be built and you can see how special and rare the LMV/R will truly be.

The Aston Martin is one of those luxury supercars we tend to not hear enough about.  Ferrari and Lamborghini take up most of the spotlight, but there's no denying the exoticness and sportiness of the Aston Martin.  In fact, I would vote that Aston Martin's are the most function in terms of daily drivers out of all the exotics.  Titan Motorsports had the pleasure of servicing this ESX supercharged Vantage that they've nicknamed "SuperVantage".  It received a pulley upgrade and additional tuning.  More pics of this beauty after the jump.

Jon Sibal: Aston Martin DB-S Stilettos

What better way to accessorize your vehicle and personal charm, or trophy wife, with a set of stilettos?  The Lamborghini Gallardo has shoes designed by Tim Cooper and even the OPEL Agila sports a high-heel designed shoe.  Jon Sibal worked his creative magic to come up with a rendering for an Aston Martin DB-S Stiletto and we just had to show it off.  Creatively it's one of the most unique designs we've ever seen, especially for a shoe.  The work is immaculate, as is anything that comes from Jon Sibal's creative mind.  Perhaps someone will make them into a reality?
